My Commitment to the Board:
I am running for the GlenOak Hills Board of Directors because I am committed to restoring the financial stability of our association and protecting the peaceful, rural environment that drew so many of us to this community. Unfortunately, recent decisions made by a quorum of the current Board have been detrimental to both the fiscal health of our association and the quality of life for its members.
Key issues that must be addressed immediately:
Short-Term Rental Challenges: A quorum of the Board has spent unnecessary legal fees to undermine our short-term rental policy and amendment, despite it being approved by 74% of voting members.
Management Turnover: Two management companies have dismissed our association within the last few months, highlighting toxic interactions from the Board quorum, not our homeowners.
Lack of Transparency: There has been an alarming increase in closed-door executive meetings, where important decisions are made without member input, eroding trust in the Board.
Uninsured Workers: The Board has hired vendors without workmen’s compensation insurance, putting every homeowner at risk of potential legal and financial liabilities.
Playground Fencing Removal: Over $20,000 worth of fencing around the playground has been removed without notice to the members, exposing the association to public access and liability risks.
Financial Clarity: Recent meetings have shown a lack of financial transparency, leaving homeowners in the dark about how assessment money is being spent and why key amenities are being neglected.
It is essential that we elect Board members who prioritize open, transparent communication with the community. Monthly meetings should be open to members so that everyone can see, hear, and contribute to the Board’s decisions. With my extensive Board experience and deep understanding of California corporate law, particularly the Davis-Stirling Act, I am confident in my ability to restore fiscal stability, promote ethical leadership, and foster a collaborative spirit within our community.
I am dedicated to ensuring that GlenOak Hills remains a peaceful and financially sound place to live. I am also passionate about promoting community events that strengthen our neighborhood bonds. I humbly ask for your support to bring responsible financial management and ethical leadership back to our Board. Together, we can safeguard the values that make GlenOak Hills a wonderful place to call home.
